About this tool

About Polish PESEL Generator

This generator builds a Polish PESEL number from a birth date and sex you choose, encoding the date (with the correct century offset on the month field) and sex (via the parity of the 4-digit serial's last digit), then computing the correct weighted check digit.

Pick any birth date from 1800 to today and a sex, and the generator encodes the year, month (offset for the correct century — 1800s, 1900s, 2000s, 2100s, or 2200s), and day, forces the serial's last digit to the right parity for the chosen sex, and computes the check digit, so the result always passes this site's own PESEL validator and decodes back to exactly what you entered.

Useful for testing Polish-facing forms, e-government integrations, or any system that needs a realistic, checksum-valid, and correctly decodable PESEL without using a real person's number.

Runs entirely in your browser. Supports the full 1800-2299 date range PESEL's century-offset scheme allows, not just the common 1900s/2000s case.

FAQ

Polish PESEL Generator — Frequently Asked Questions

How does choosing a birth date affect the generated PESEL?

The generator encodes your chosen year, month, and day directly into the first 6 digits, applying the correct century offset to the month (for example, +20 for the 2000s) so the PESEL Validator on this site decodes it back to exactly the date you picked.

How is sex encoded?

The 10th digit (the last digit of the 4-digit serial block) encodes sex by parity — odd means male, even means female. The generator forces that digit's parity to match whichever sex you select.

Can I generate a PESEL for someone born in the 1800s or 2100s?

Yes — PESEL's century-offset scheme supports birth years from 1800 through 2299, and this generator supports the full range, not just the common 1900s/2000s case.

Is this a real PESEL?

No. Only the birth date and sex are meaningful; the serial digits (other than the parity-forced last one) are random, so the result is not assigned to any real person.
