About this tool

About the Brazilian Company Generator

Brazilian B2B systems — invoicing (NF-e), ERPs, marketplaces and banking onboarding — need company records with a CNPJ, a state registration and an address. This generator builds complete fictitious company records for testing.

Each company has a legal name (razão social) and trade name (nome fantasia), a valid CNPJ in the classic numeric format or the alphanumeric format introduced in 2026, a valid Inscrição Estadual for SP, RJ, MG, RS, PR, BA and SC, an opening date, a landline with the capital’s DDD, a CEP and an address. Generate up to 100 companies and export to CSV or JSON.

Testing NF-e and invoicing flows, supplier and customer registration, marketplace seller onboarding, and checking that your database and validators already handle alphanumeric CNPJs.

A realistic company record exercises every field of a B2B form at once. Alphanumeric CNPJ check digits follow the Receita Federal rule, so you can test the new format before real customers send one.

FAQ

Brazilian Company Generator — Frequently Asked Questions

Is the generated company real?

No. The names and addresses are random, and the CNPJ and Inscrição Estadual pass validation but are not registered with the Receita Federal or any state SEFAZ.

What is the alphanumeric CNPJ?

From July 2026 the Receita Federal issues new CNPJs whose first 12 characters can be letters or digits, while the last 2 remain numeric check digits. Each character counts as its ASCII code minus 48 (A=17 … Z=42) in the Modulo 11 calculation. The official example is 12.ABC.345/01DE-35.

Why is the Inscrição Estadual empty for some states?

Each state defines its own IE format and check digits. The generator fills a valid IE for São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, Bahia and Santa Catarina, and shows a dash for other states.

Can I export the companies?

Yes — generate up to 100 companies and download them as CSV or JSON, or copy the JSON straight to the clipboard.

Testing Tips

  • Turn on alphanumeric CNPJ to check that your database columns accept letters
  • Test both formatted and digits-only CNPJs
  • Use different states to exercise state-specific IE rules
  • Pair with the person generator to create a company owner or contact
